The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the first plateau railway in China to adopt GSM-R digital mobile communication. The entire line utilizes the company's GSM-R optical repeaters, which have been successfully deployed in the Fenghuoshan Tunnel (the world's highest-altitude plateau tunnel) and the Kunlun Mountain Tunnel (the world's longest permafrost tunnel).
The Guanjiao Mountain Tunnel, an extra-long railway tunnel in China, has a total length of over 32 km and is located on the Xining-Golmud section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. The company's GSM-R analog optical repeaters were deployed inside the tunnel to resolve the GSM-R wireless communication network coverage challenges in this super-long tunnel.
