In 2020, Taitong was selected as one of the core network and radio network equipment developers for the China State Railway Group's research project on the "2100MHz-based Railway 5G Technology System and Key Technologies," participating in product development and standard formulation. By the end of 2023, the company successfully completed interoperability testing of its core network with three other manufacturers in the laboratory. Following a positive expert review, it advanced to field testing on the China Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS) loop test line to validate equipment functionality and its ability to support critical railway services, such as train control and dispatching. Starting in 2025, Taitong will participate in the Hefei-Xinyi High-Speed Railway 5G-R Pilot Project planned by the China State Railway Group.
